Seven candidates contested the 2024 JTA President - Elect Election held June 17 - 21, 2024. They were:

  1. Mrs Dorian Allen-Rainford, Teacher, Convent of Mercy Alpha Academy
  2. Eaton McNamee, Principal, Broadleaf Primary and Infant in Manchester 
  3. Mrs Georgia Green, Vice Principal, St. James High in St. James
  4. Mr Jermaine Williams, Teacher, The Mannings High, Westmoreland
  5. Mr. Mark Malabver, Principal, Yallahs High School in St. Thomas 
  6. Mr Terrian Okeef Saunders, Teacher, Donald Quarrie High School in Kingston.
  7. Suzette Baker - Tulloch, Principal, Foga Road Infant School, Clarendon.

A total of 11,836 votes were cast in the election, which was held using the Face - to - Face modality. Each candidate received votes as follows:

Eaton Mcnamee 1945 votes
Mrs Georgia Green 316 votes
Mr Jermaine Williams2854 votes
Mr. Mark Malabver3,123 votes
Mr Terrian Okeef Saunders1970 votes
Suzette Baker Tulloch 414 votes

Mr. Malabver, having secured the highest number of votes in the preliminary count is hereby declared President - Elect Designate.

The winner will be officially proclaimed at the 60th Annual Conference scheduled for August 19 – 21, 2024 at the Ocean Coral Spring, Duncans, Trelawny.
