JTA ON FULL ALERT!
The JTA’s Negotiating Team met with the Ministry of Finance and the Public Service today, January 3, 2018.
Although there was favourable consideration given to some of the outstanding items of the Claim, the item of percentage increase was not addressed.
The Ministry of Finance and the Public Service indicated that the Cabinet would be meeting on Monday, January 8, 2018 to discuss some of the items submitted for consideration.
The Action Committee met today and is demanding a response from the Cabinet by 5:00 p.m. on Monday, January 8, 2018.
The Association remains resolute in defending the cause of the teachers of Jamaica who are fed up with the delaying tactics being employed by the Government.
